About your Coaches

Cirrus Tan

I have been coaching climbers for over 15 years. I have helped many climbers get stronger, more confident, and reach their climbing goals.

I was National Combined Champ in 2019, and have won many Bouldering and Lead NZ Nationals, competing in both Oceania Olympic Qualifiers. More recently, I placed 2nd in both Bouldering and Lead Nationals in 2024.

As a qualified Personal Trainer, I incorporate strength training into my climbing coaching philosophy.

I have also studied Sport Psychology to improve my understanding of the mental side of training and climbing.

Whether you want to train for competitions, outdoor projects, or to climb harder indoors, I can help you progress

Sofya Yokoyama

I am a professional climber from Switzerland. I joined the National Swiss Team at age 14, winning multiple Swiss Bouldering Cups and recently placed 11th in Bouldering World Cup in 2024.

I have sent many 8A/V11-V12 boulders, and am excited to be focusing on my 8B/V13 project. While I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, I am always wanting to improve and take my climbing to the next level.

Throughout my journey I have worked with many amazing athletes and coaches. I am now excited to share what I have learnt, and help others reach their climbing goals.

Cirrus will conduct calls and be the primary coach working with you, and Sofya will have input with the personalised training prescribed.

Every enrolled client will receive:
